Giordano Dance Chicago (GDC) returns to the Harris Theater for its 63rd season, radiating energy and boundless spirit. The company continues to honor a legacy that bridges the bold vision of founder Gus Giordano with Nan Giordano’s 41 years of inspired artistic leadership. From its deep Chicago roots to performances, GDC captivates audiences worldwide with its signature blend of power, grace, and joy.

This Spring season features three world premieres: “Dumb Luck!” by Emmy Award–winning Resident Choreographer Al Blackstone, a swing-inspired work infused with contemporary flair that transforms chance into a joyful celebration. Jon Rua’s first creation for GDC, “namuH,” is a full-company piece blending jazz and street styles into an urban funk sensibility. Completing the premieres is “My Kind of Girl,” a tap duet by Mike Minery that showcases his virtuosic rhythms and marks his first work for GDC.
